    There's no better way to stay healthy than to eat fruits and vegetables grown in your very own garden! Join Michelle Black Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist and Master Gardener Volunteer as she shows you how to make a beautiful and functional edible garden in whatever space you have available to you. Specific information on selecting a site, ideas for growing methods, preparing your soil, what / when to plant and tips for garden care will be included in the class. Beginner and advanced gardeners are welcome

    Michelle Black is a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist and owner of WellRooted Nutrition, LLC. She graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Dietetics from Mount Mary College in 2010 and has also completed the training as a Master Gardener through the University of Wisconsin Extension. Michelle currently works in the field of corporate wellness and provides healthy cooking and nutrition classes for clients throughout South Eastern Wisconsin. Her approach is integrative, and she is currently completing a certificate of training in Integrative and Functional Nutrition. She believes in the power of a whole foods, plant plentiful diet. In her spare time she enjoys working in her organic vegetable garden, cooking healthy meals for her family and enjoying all of the outdoor activities Wisconsin has to offer.
