    Jim Hoehn is a career journalist/author/songwriter who has carved out a surprisingly successful niche as a performing songwriter since first stumbling out of the pressbox with a guitar. In addition to performing at festivals and house concerts across the country, he frequently opens for touring songwriters and acts such as Rodney Crowell, Roger McGuinn, Warren Zevon, Jerry Jeff Walker, Robert Earl Keen and many others – including an upcoming show with John Hiatt in Madison on Sept. 21. During his journalism career – much of it spent as a sportswriter – Hoehn has covered everything from plane crashes to murder trials to the Super Bowl and the Hong Kong 7s rugby tournament. His latest record is the aptly titled “Collection Notice,” a selection of 15 original songs from his four previous recordings – each of which received considerable airplay on Americana and folk radio programs in the U.S. and Europe.

    Tlalok is a bilingual singer/ songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Originally a Chicago native, he comes from a long line of musicians dating back to his great-grandfather who was a composer from Vicente Guerrero, Mexico. A century later he keeps the family tradition alive through boleros, bossa novas, and vibrant performances channeling the passion of his ancestors. Anthony Kopczynski is also a local multi-instrumentalist who just graduated from the UW Milwaukee music program. He is primarily a pianist who specializes in jazz performance and Beatles repertoire.

  • Organic Rhythm Jam (Drum Circle)

    Tom Gill from Rhythm For Unity will be hosting an organic rhythm jam from 6:00 – 8:00pm with hand drums, percussion instruments and likely a few surprises! Feel free to bring your own instrument (store bought or home-made) or use some of the extras that will be on hand. No experience required! Good Harvest co-owner Joe Nolan reached out to invite local drummers to share organic rhythms in this incredible space. The food (natural), beverages (alcoholic and non-) and ambience are amazing! Note this is not a drum class, nor over-facilitated session, rather a spontaneous community drum jam that will be different every time depending on who shows up and the spirit of the group.

    Emilie is a local musician from Waukesha. She likes to sing and play guitar in her free time when she’s not teaching and hanging out with her students in the classroom. She performs an acoustic mix of musical genres ranging from Johnny Cash to present day top 40 hits. A pop cookie with country sprinkles and there’s something in the mix for everybody. Her previous experiences include State Fair, Summerfest, Taste of Wisconsin, and Waukesha's Friday Night Live. She frequents various coffee shops, bars, restaurants, and live public and private events in the area.
