Fall Beer Garden Concert Series - Richard Holly
Fee: FREERichard Holly first picked up a harmonica at the age of 12, and added the guitar at 13. High school found him playing in the "Hobo's Blues Band" for school dances and functions This was followed by a move to Chicago where he honed his solo acoustic act while absorbing the great local blues and folk scene. Richard was privileged to do a stint as a sideman playing blues harp in Chicago's own "Eddie C. Campbell blues band". Post Chicago, Richard continued to develop his own unique voice, led his own band, and then toured for a number of years in the phenomenal Midwest bar band "Marvin and the Dogs". Richard currently focuses most of his energy on songwriting, playing slide and fingerstyle guitar, and blowing the blues harp in his solo act. Along with classic blues, he will perform original material from both his latest CD release ("Scratching Sparks") and some up-to-the-minute original song releases available only on his YouTube music channel.
