NAMI-Waukesha (National Alliance on Mental Illness) is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide help to those affected by mental illness. Since 1982, NAMI Waukesha has worked to improve the understanding of mental illness and share the hope of recovery by offering information, support, education and advocacy services. They strive to enlighten the public with the goal of erasing the stigma, guilt, shame, fear, ignorance and discrimination that negatively impacts the lives of people affected by mental illness. NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.
