    Fee: Free

Waukesha Green Drinks is a fun, no pressure, informal gathering of like-minded individuals who want to learn more about sustainability in Waukesha County. We gather upstairs at Good Harvest Market at 6:00 on the 4th Thursday of each month with a short presentation beginning at 6:30. All are welcome! Hosted by the Waukesha County Green Team. This Month's Program: "Geothermal Energy – a sustainable means to heat and cool your home and/or business”, Presented by: Scott Niesen, geothermal innovator and territory manager for Water Furnace. Geothermal systems utilize constant underground temperatures and are recognized by the EPA as the most environmentally friendly, cost effective and energy efficient heating and cooling technology available. These systems minimize the threats of acid rain, air pollution, the greenhouse effect and climate change – problems directly linked to the burning of fossil fuels. Geothermal energy results in energy cost savings of up to 70%, paying for itself within five to seven years. Scott Niesen is the Territory Manager for WaterFurnace, the most trusted and respected manufacturer of ground source heat pumps worldwide. He has a passion for developing newer products and bringing innovation to consumer situations over the past 30 years. After completing undergraduate BS at the University of Wisconsin, Scott completed an MBA at Cardinal Stritch University. Today Scott brings his love of all sciences to geothermal solutions and he lives with his wife and two children in Cambridge, Wisconsin.
