    Fee: FREE

Radiation is a high energy, unorthodox band of equal parts high-energy violin rock, traditional Irish folk, punk and alternative rock, made up of a father and two daughters. Being no strangers to performing, the band was formed in 2019. Guitarist and Vocalist Lily and Violinist Olive Irish-danced with Beglan Academy for nearly a decade before putting on a small St. Patrick's Day show at the local pub on their own. When a broken foot arose two weeks before St. Patrick's Day, the trio decided to learn a few traditional Irish tunes. The girls both had been taking music lessons at the time--Olive on fiddle and Lily on guitar--and had been for the past couple of years. Drummer and Vocalist Tom had been playing music for several years and joined a few small bands along the way, following in the footsteps of his father, who was also a drummer and played out often. Radiation has played at Summerfest, Irish Fest, the Highland Games, Friday Night Live, Saloonfest2 and the Gallery Coffee Company, to name a few. In April of 2023, Radiation recorded their first EP with Tonearm Studios, titled Road to Chernobyl, which was released in early July of 2023 and will be able to be purchased online shortly.
