July Summertime Happenings

Produce: Great values on summer fruit and incredibly fresh local produce.

Excessive heat out West and rains in the Southeast have made product  availability scattered and intermittent. Quality has also been compromised. Items affected in particular, Watermelon, Jalapeno Peppers, Bok Choy, Raspberries, Honeydew, Cilantro, Avocados, Cali Grapes and Cali Peppers.  Summer fruit is in full swing, with Peaches, Nectarines, Plums, Pluots, Apricots, and Cherries all available at falling retails.  Most apples are finished as they are not a 'year around available' item. Some Cape or Australian will be available, but the varieties will be limited.  Local product continues to come in as we now have Spinach, Broccoli, Green and Red Leaf Lettuces, Cilantro, Japanese Turnips, and Arugula.
