September Store Update

We're preparing for Fall here at Good Harvest...which is actually quite exciting! This month in produce, look for the major expansion of apples and local items like potatoes and squash. Hear about our upcoming major wild salmon sale, fresh grass-fed bison, a new local tea, and free organic soda with a cafe pizza purchase.

Produce: Apples are here! Also: local squash, potatoes, and more!

We have begun our reset for Fall...the apples and stone fruit have been switched and we're in the process of expanding our squash selection. Be sure to check out the beautiful displays!  We should have a good selection
of varieties of new crop apples available by mid to late September. The
new crop Pears will hopefully be available soon as well.  We will continue having Peaches and Nectarines, however the Plums are beginning to wind down as we are in to our late season varieties now. Finished for the season are Apricots, Cherries (Red & White), Pluots, White Peaches and Donut Peaches. Locally, we will continue to offer whatever our local growers can
harvest. Coming soon will be the hard squashes, pumpkins, potatoes and
onions. Plus we'll also have at that time, corn stalks, hay bales, mini
pumpkins, pie pumpkins and gourds. We hope to have some imported Asparagus by the first or second week of September. Thanks to Mother Nature, there has been a 6 week gap in availability.

Cafe/Deli: Premium deli meats for school lunches and free soda with pizza purchase!

It's almost back to school time and while the kids are doing their homework we've got snacks covered. From Gluten Free Cookies and Granola to lunch meats and pizza, all your quick healthy snacks are covered. Featured for the month of September are our Take and Bake Pizzas. Each is made on sprouted 7 grain pizza crusts with organic sauce and cheese. We've been able to lower the price point on all varieties. Even better, during the month of September we will be giving away a 6-pack of Blue Sky Soda with pizza purchase. Check in store for more details come September.

Meat/Seafood: Wild Salmon Sale and NEW Fresh Grass Fed Bison

Summer is coming to an end and the kids are back in school.  Stop by for some natural, uncured deli meats and organic sliced cheese to make for school lunches.  The fresh wild salmon season is trickling down, so mark your calenders for September 12-14 for the lowest priced salmon sale of the year..only $8.99/lb! Our local vendor of the month is Colectivo Coffee. Stock up on bulk or purchase a wide variety of pre-bagged options of carefully sourced and roasted varieties. Wellness: "Urbal Tea": herbal infusions hand-crafted in Milwaukee

Fall is almost upon us, so we are steadily preparing for the changing of the seasons! We now have a new local tea called "Urbal Tea", made locally right in Milwaukee. These teas are loose, organic blends that are carefully handcrafted and packaged into reusable glass containers. Some of the varieties are: "Peach Rooibos - heavenly sweet" from the African Red Bush and is high in antioxidants, "Kiwi Strawberry Energy" - an exotic blend including yerba mate and ginseng, and "Cran-Apple Detox" - a super detoxifying blend with the sweet tart taste of cranberry and fresh picked apples.
